Are.na API

The 9413 Sophia Ave Project is both an address and a performance, where we utilized the Are.na API to map the intersection of architecture, memory, connection & decay.

Our research phase transformed local neighborhood feedback into a foundational dataset that directed the visual and physical goals of the deconstruction.

We developed a two-phase visual language that first mobilized a community and then shifted to preserve the artifacts of the deconstruction. Below we see the results of the first phase, focused on connection and introduction. The brand’s final evolution is a stripped-down, essentialist system designed to house the project’s artifacts in a permanent digital home.
